The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Kansas City Regional Office invites you to attend a
2019 Medicare National Training Program (NTP) Workshop.
This year we are pleased to offer the Workshop in 3 different locations. The same agenda and information will be provided at all Workshops. Registrations are limited to 150 people in Wichita and Columbia; 120 in Cedar Rapids. We encourage you to register early.

Day 1 – 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM*
Understanding Medicare – A full day of Medicare Basics including: Eligibility & Enrollment; Coverage Options; Medicare Part A, B, C & D; Appeals; Health Insurance Marketplace; and Help for People with Limited Income and Resources. This interactive curriculum is for those who are learning the basics, want a refresher, or want to use the material to train others.
Day 2 – 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM*
Medicare – Beyond the Basics – Learn about legislative and programmatic updates; coordination of benefits; how to help fight fraud and abuse; helpful resources; the Opioid Epidemic Initiative; and Social Security and disability.
Day 3 – 8:30 AM to 12:00 Noon*
Medicare Scenario-based Learning – An interactive session using casework scenarios to discuss and review topics such as coverage issues and more. Topics are based on survey feedback.
* Registration – 7:30 AM on Day 1; 8:00 AM on Day 2 and Day 3 for Wichita and Columbia workshops; registration opens at 8:00 AM each day for Cedar Rapids workshop.
We will provide training workbooks and materials at the workshop.
As always, there will be no charge to you for the training; however, CMS is prohibited by law from providing food or drinks. Please refer to the registration details for each particular workshop for information about dining opportunities.
In addition, if you register for a Workshop and then later determine you are unable to attend please access Eventbrite and cancel your ticket so others can attend. Those who register and do not attend may be placed on a wait list for future CMS events. Also, please note that promotion of a business or product is expressly prohibited during the workshop.
