Course Description:

Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and substance use concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. Participants must be present for the entire duration of the course.

Your registration cost includes all course materials including a manual that you will keep. A light breakfast and lunch will also be provided.

The course will be held at Missouri Institute of Mental Health, 4633 World Parkway Circle on Tuesday May 21, 2019 from 8:00am-5:00pm. 
Registration and light breakfast from 7:30am-7:55 am. Course begins promptly at 8:00 am.

Cancellation Policy: Those cancelling 72 hours or more prior to the training date will receive 100% refund; Less than 72 hours will receive a 50% refund. Cancellation fees are the responsibility of the registering party and/or their organization.

Dress Code: Dress is casual. We recommend dressing in layers as room temperatures may vary.
